UP-M

write-ups, reaction papers, reading assignments, august 15 (1916, 1946, 1976) frontpage assignments, loooooong walks(taft-college of arts and sciences/robinsons, gil-faura, gil-un, faura-un, faura-kalaw, gil-kalaw, orosa-taft, walks inside UP-PGH compound) under the blistering heat of the sun(good thing we're allowed to wear slippers!). i'm exhausted.

wed night - we(my cousins, jancel & zach) met up with urie (with miguel, who went somewhere else to eat) in starbucks lorre lorenzo. the funny thing there is they tried to comfort me when i was almost entirely unaffected by what happened (to me and another person. glad that's over!) about 30 minutes to 1 hour before we went down to meet up with urie. hahaha... :)

thursday - (zachary mojica & jancel, kalimutan nyo n un ha? maaga na ko gigcng sa susunod! ahehehe :))

friday - hotdogs, sizzling plate, tocino, siopao.

I hope our Math 17 professor will finally show up on Monday. Speaking of professors, I now know that name of our History I prof, Bernard Kargadilla. FYI: He wouldn't tell us his name when we were in his class.

I was encouraged/impressed by mr.vice pres-usc's 'speech' in the CP audi.. wow. I'm still thinking if i should quote and post what he said in this blog because it might sound too proud if chanced upon by superior-feeling people.

I was super impressed by the UP-M Indayog(tama nga ba? it's the varsity dance group of the university) and by the glee club(what's its name again?!).. Astigin.

I shall always remember the three virtues represented by the lion, tin man, scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. These virtues were explained to us by the priest(sorry i can't remember his name) who celebrated the opening ceremony mass last June 13, 2006. Let me share with you one dialogue he talked about:

PARENT: Nag-aalala akong papasukin ang anak ko sa UP, baka maging radikal ang pag-iisip.

SAGOT: Dapat nga matuwa ka kung ganun dahil hindi lang sarili niya ang iniisip ng anak mo, pati ang mga kababayan at bansa niya.

For me, the answer is correct. It's only fair to cooperate in/do something that will benefit our fellow countrymen who pay taxes used in sending us to school.

I want your opinion.

Looks like you have a lot of homework there. Or maybe it's just me. I've had only two subjects on my first day. Actually, three. There was no prof for my first class.

Tama nga naman ang sagot sa parent. Eh, I don't know anything about UP. I just know you're liberal-minded. I hope you'll learn to be a 'statesman' and help us love our country more.
